Requesting a Prescription Purge
To request a prescription purge, do the following:
- Select More > Housekeeping > Purge. The Purge Request History window opens.
Note: If Housekeeping is disabled, the user logged onto PharmaClik Rx does not have Housekeeping Access.
- Select the Request button. The Purge Request window opens.
- Enter the date you want the purge to run. This is the Requested Date.
- From the Select your initials dropdown list select your initials.
- Select the Purge checkbox.
- In the field that says Remove all prescriptions that were filled on or before, enter the Prescription Purge Date. This date must be at least two (2) years prior to the Requested Date.
- Select the OK button.
- Once PharmaClik Rx determines that the request is valid, a prompt confirms the purge request. Select the Yes button to continue.
Note: Selecting No in the prompt aborts the process and returns the screen the Purge Request. You can modify the purge options or Cancel out of the window.
- The screen returns to the Purge Request History. The request is displayed with a Pending status. Select the OK button to close the window.
Note: Upon the first PharmaClik Rx login, after a successful purge, a message displays indicating that a database purge occurred. If a purge was required and the message DOES NOT appear, then the purge has Failed, or is Pending. A Pending status means that the purge has rolled over to the next night.
